Quarantine and Isolation Information
Watch Dr Brie's Facebook Live UPDATED video from 12/4/2020 on the topic and read her posts on our Articles page
A COVID Exposure or Close Contact is defined as...
Contact to a person with COVID or positive test for cumulative 15 minutes in a 24 hours period inside or outside masked or unmasked.
Once you are 2 weeks past your 2nd COVID-19 Vaccination, you no longer need to isolate for exposure.
Quarantine

Reason: I had a exposure to someone who is COVID positive
- Timeframe: 14 days *GOLD STANDARD* but it can be shorter under these circumstances:
- - No Symptoms after 10 DAYS, okay to end quarantine
- - Test at day 5-7 AND no symptoms at 7 DAYS, okay to end quarantine
- Watch for development of symptoms and get tested if you develop symptoms
- Stay home and limit to essential errands and, of course, wear a mask
- Avoid contact with others outside your home - this is not a time to hang out with people you haven’t seen for a while
- Tell others you’ve been around that you had exposure and that you have a pending a test if you MUST see them
- Others in your home with no direct exposure do not need to quarantine
Isolation

Reason: I am COVID positive or have symptoms (fever, loss of taste/smell, sinus, etc)
- Timeframe: 10 days from onset of symptoms + 24-72 hours fever free
- Get tested
- Stay isolated away from anyone else and monitor symptoms
- Stay home except to get medical care
- Wear a mask around others in your home and limit contact with them
