Direct primary care (DPC) is a healthcare model where patients pay a simple monthly membership for primary care instead of billing insurance for office visits. This allows for longer visits, easier access to your doctor, and care that’s focused on your health — not paperwork. You can still use your insurance for things like labs, referrals, imaging, and specialty care.

You’ll also receive direct access to your care team, longer visits, and relationship-based care, all of which are core to our direct primary care model. To ensure we can build a meaningful relationship and truly understand your health, memberships require a minimum six-month commitment. This gives us the time to get to know you and create a care plan tailored to your needs.

Traditional primary care relies on insurance billing, which often limits visit time and access. Direct primary care removes those constraints, allowing us to spend more time with you, respond more quickly, and focus on prevention and your health goals.

It is not required to have insurance in addition to your DPC membership, but it is recommended. Most patients pair their Direct Osteopathic Primary Care membership with a high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plan. This allows you to receive holistic and integrated primary care at a predictable monthly cost while retaining additional coverage for emergencies, hospitalizations, and specialist care.

Direct primary care divides your annual primary care costs into an affordable monthly payment, making it easier to predict.

At Direct Osteopathic Primary Care, memberships start at $99 for the first household member. Add a second member for an additional $85 per month (must reside in the same household). After that, additional members under 18 years old can be added at $50 per month. There is a one-time registration fee for all new members of $150. Family registration fee is capped at $300.

Labs, imaging, and medications are not included. However, some may be billable through your insurance. Direct Osteopathic Primary Care members also save on health assessments, including labs and diagnostic testing, which provide insights to inform your care plan. 

Yes! Direct Osteopathic Primary Care provides family medicine memberships in addition to individual memberships. Our prices decrease after the first member of your household joins, keeping your family’s primary care costs low. The registration fee for a family is capped at a one-time fee of $300, regardless of the number of members added if all family members add at the same time! 

DPC may be right for you if you value easy access to your care team, longer visits, and proactive care. Our membership is designed around a predictable monthly payment, regardless of when you need care. Most of our members have around four visits a year, and rest well knowing that we are available when they need us. Even if you’re healthy and rarely go to the doctor, a primary care membership is right for you if you value having a relationship with a provider who cares about helping you stay healthy.

Direct Osteopathic Primary Care memberships are especially helpful if you want a care team that knows you well and takes time to address root causes using the full breadth of medical knowledge: holistic and osteopathic medicine, traditional Western care, and forward-thinking tools and treatments. 

Yes, when it makes sense. We take a thoughtful approach to care, recommending supplements and lifestyle changes just as readily as prescriptions. When medication is part of the plan, we use the time and tools to ensure it’s the right one for you.

Your Direct Osteopathic Primary Care team helps coordinate referrals and supports you before, during, and after specialty care or hospitalization. While your membership won’t cover the cost of that care, having a team that knows you and will advocate for your health goals can make navigating the healthcare system much easier.

Enhanced services—such as osteopathic manipulation, personalized health assessments, and advanced diagnostics—complement your ongoing primary care. Members receive preferred pricing and can use these services to further personalize their care plan.
