Galleri Cancer Screening Event

April is National Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Month.

We’re excited to share that our office is offering the Galleri multi-cancer early detection test. This groundbreaking blood test can detect signals for over 50 types of cancer, including many of the most aggressive cancers that don’t have recommended screening options today—like ovarian, pancreatic, uterine, and liver cancers.

Four out of 10 people will develop cancer in their lifetime, and over 70% cancer deaths are caused by cancers with no recommended screening.

Galleri detected 83% of ovarian cancers, 83.7% of pancreatic cancers, and 93.5% of liver cancers in studies, making it a powerful complement to routine screenings such as colonoscopies, mammograms and Pap smears.

The Galleri test uses a simple blood draw and is intended for individuals age 50 and older, or those with additional risk factors like a family history of cancer, previous cancer diagnosis, diabetes, or a history of smoking. It is not currently covered by insurance, but we’re offering it to our patients for $699—discounted from the standard $949. You may also be able to use HSA or FSA funds.
