Welcome to Self-Care

Taking Care of Ourselves

There’s a reason airlines tell us to put on our own oxygen mask first.

In healthcare, in parenting, in work, and in life, we spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we often forget to care for ourselves. This month at DOPC, we’re focusing on something we believe deeply: sustainable health starts with balance.

Whether that means creating space to rest, learning to manage stress differently, supporting hormones and long-term wellness, or simply making healthcare more accessible for your family — taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s fundamental.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT

Women’s Health, Deeper Insights

When Genova came out with a combination of my two favorite tests (ENDO+ and Micronutrient testing) to be honest, I tried to ignore it.

Then, when they charged less for the two great tests combined, it was impossible not to add this great offer to our members. Now you can look at hormones, estrogen metabolism, detox genetics, cortisol and micronutrient levels all at the same time! Hormones affect every system in the body — energy, sleep, metabolism, mood, cognition, skin, cycle health, and long-term wellness. That’s why we’re excited to offer the Women’s Health+ assessment from Genova Diagnostics, designed to provide a more comprehensive look at hormone balance and women’s health biomarkers.

If you’ve been feeling “off” but can’t quite explain why, this may help uncover important patterns and root causes that deserve attention.

Reach out in the portal to learn whether Women’s Health+ testing may be right for you.

Take a Deeper Dive in Hormones with Advanced Testing: What You Need to Know with Dr. Brie

Join Dr. Brie on June 17th at 12:45 PM MT for a Facebook Live conversation exploring advanced hormone and wellness testing.

Learn about WomensHealth+ — a comprehensive combination of micronutrient, cortisol, and hormone testing — and how it compares to other options like DUTCH and ZRT testing. Dr. Brie will break down what these tests measure, who they may benefit, and what you should know before choosing the right approach for your health.

Final Thoughts from Dr. Brie

Taking care of yourself doesn’t have to mean doing everything perfectly.

Sometimes it looks like resting. Sometimes it looks like asking for support.

Sometimes it looks like finally prioritizing the symptoms you’ve been ignoring for years and finding someone who will listen. At DOPC, we believe healthcare should help you build a healthier, more sustainable life — not just reacting when something goes wrong.
