Fortify for Fall

Fall is here, the holidays are around the corner, and life is about to get busy.

This month, we’re focusing on one word: Fortify.

Not doing more—just strengthening the things that support you. Schedule the appointment. Get back into a healthy routine. Prepare for the respiratory season. Ask the question you’ve been putting off.

A few small steps now can help you head into the end of the year feeling a little more prepared.

Small Business Big Benefit

Healthcare is a big decision for small businesses—and Direct Primary Care is becoming a bigger part of that conversation.

DPC gives employees direct access to primary care through a predictable membership model and can be used alongside an employer’s existing health benefits.

Dr. Brie recently talked about what this can look like for small businesses and why more employers are exploring DPC. If you are an entrepreneur, why not move your membership to your business this fall? Check out DOPC’s revamped Small Business Signature Plan!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

You know mammograms matter. But do you know your breast density?

Your mammogram report typically includes one of four density categories:

A: Fatty

B: Scattered

C: Heterogeneously Dense

D: Extremely Dense

Density is one piece of your overall breast cancer risk and may affect conversations about additional screening. Your personal history, family history, breast density, and other factors all help your doctor determine what screening makes sense for you.

Not sure what your last mammogram report means? Ask us. That’s what we’re here for.

COLORADO IS LEADING THE WAY IN DIRECT PRIMARY CARE

Direct Primary Care isn't just growing—Colorado is helping lead the way.

#2
Colorado ranks second in the nation for DPC membership concentration.

60%
Nearly 60% of DPC memberships are now funded by employers.

837%
DPC membership per capita has grown 837% since 2017.

According to the 2026 Direct Primary Care Trends Report, Colorado has one of the highest concentrations of DPC members in the country. And increasingly, employers are helping provide that access as part of their employee benefits.

For small businesses, DPC offers another way to think about healthcare: predictable costs, easier access to primary care, and a doctor employees can actually build a relationship with.

Preventative Care and Breast Screening for Women - What you need to Know! With Cat & Martina

Join Cat & Martina on October 20th at 12:30pm MT as we talk about the health questions that come up in real life—from hormones and preventive health to everyday things patients aren't always sure are worth asking their doctor.

Final Thoughts from Dr. Brie

October always feels like the beginning of the sprint toward the end of the year.

Before the calendars fill up, take a minute to check in with yourself. Schedule the appointment. Ask the question. Get some sleep. Take the walk. Do the small things that help you feel stronger heading into a busy season. That’s what Fortify means to me—not doing everything perfectly, but taking care of what matters before life gets even busier.

And remember, when it comes to your health, you have a doctor you can call.
